SSC CGL Recruitment 2020
Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam will be conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the sake of recruiting Manpower for Government Ministries and various Government Department. There are vacancies in “B” and “C” category posts. The exam is held in 4 stages called Tiers where:
- 1st two exams will be held online.
- Third will be descriptive in nature.
- Fourth will be DEST(Data Entry Speed Test) / CPT(Computer proficiency test
Registration and communication process will entirely be held online through the official website of SSC CGL. To proceed to next one Candidate must qualify the earlier stage of the SSC CGL exam and will only be selected after completing all stage.
NOTE:
- DEST is conducted for candidates applied for the post of Tax Assistant.
- CPT is conducted for candidates applied for the post of CSS (Central Secretariat Services).
- CPT is conducted for candidates applied for the post of MEA (Ministry of External Affairs).

SSC CGL 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the SSC CGL examination 2020 must fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below.
- Age Limit: Candidate age should be between 20 to 30 years. There will be an age relaxation for reserved category as per the government rule.
- Education Qualification: Candidate should have the bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
SSC CGL 2020 Application Form
Candidates have to fill the SSC (CGL) 2020 Application form through online mode only. The Online Application form will be available on the SSC official website www.ssc.nic.in. Candidates need to make the payment of the Application fee through SBI Challan, Debit/ Credit Card and Net Banking.

SSC CGL Syllabus 2020

SSC CGL Tier 1 Syllabus
We earlier told you that tier one exam will be held online as it will be CBE (computer based examination). Tier 1 exam will have four Section of SSC CGL 2020; there will be 100 questions which will contain 200 marks. Subject wise details are explained bellow:

SSC CGL 2020 Tier 3 Exam Pattern
The Tier 3 exam will be conducted offline with the descriptive type question paper. Candidates need to write Essay/ Precis / Letter / Application Writing etc. Tier 3 Examination carries 100 marks and duration of the examination will be of 1 hour. The exam duration for “VH” and “Cerebral Palsy” candidates will be of 80 minutes.
Note:
- All questions will be based on 10+2 level.
- Duration for the exam will be of only 60 minutes.
- The paper will be of 100 marks.
- The physically disabled student will get 20 minutes extra time.
SSC CGL Tier 4 Exam Syllabus
SSC CGL Exam 2020, Tier 4 will come with several skill tests which are necessarily required for the post applied by the candidate under the Government.
- DEST stands for (Data Entry Speed Test): is conducted for candidates applied for the post of Tax Assistant.
- CPT stand for (Computer Proficiency Test): is conducted for candidates applied for the post of CSS (Central Secretariat Services).
SSC CGL 2020 Admit Card
Candidates applying for the SSC CGL 2020 examination will be assigned to the e- admit card before the closing date. Candidates have to download their e-admit card from the Staff Selection Commission official website i.e. ssc.nic.in. Below we have mentioned the easy steps on how to download the SSC (CGL) 2020 Admit Card.
- Candidates have to first visit the official website of the SSC i.e. ssc.nic.in.
- Click on the SSC (CGL) region wise admit card link.
- Enter the Application number and date of birth in the space provided.
- Click on the submit button.
- The admit card will be displayed on the screen.
- Download the Admit Card and take the print out of the same.
Important Notes
Paper-1 and 2 will be compulsory for all posts
Paper-3 is for candidates applied for post of “Statistical Investigator Gr. II” & “Compiler”
Paper-4 is for candidates applied for post of “Assistant Audit Officer
SSC CGL 2020 Cut Off
Candidates have to score the minimum qualifying marks to clear the levels of the SSC CGL 2020 2020 examination. Candidate needs to qualify the SSC CGL 2020 Tier 1 cut-off to be eligible for the SSC (CGL) Tier 2 examination. Thereafter candidate has to qualify SSC CGL 2020 Tier 2 cut off for the Tier- 3 examinations. After successfully qualifying Tier 3 examination candidate to have to face the final rounds of Computer Skill Test or Skill Test whichever is applicable. The expected SSC CGL 2020 Cut Off Marks will be available soon.
SSC CGL 2020 Results
The SSC CGL 2020 exam result will be announced after one month from the exam. The Result will be announced by the Staff Service Commission on its official website www.ssc.nic.in.
