SBI Probationary Officers 2020


State Bank of India Probationary Officers 2020 conducts the national level recruitment exam for the appointment of Probationary Officers. SBI PO 2020 would declare the notification soon. The written exam would be conducted in 2 stages that are Main exam and preliminary exam. Those applicants who qualify preliminary exam would be short-listed to appear in Main exam and those students who clear the main exam would be called for Interview and Group Discussion.

Essential Academic Qualifications (as on 31.12.2020)

Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government. Those who are in the Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2020. Candidates having Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2020. Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant may also apply

Age Limit: (As on 01.04.2020)

Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2020 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 01.04.1999 and not earlier than 02.04.1990 (both days inclusive)

SBI PO Exam Pattern

The SBI PO Selection process consists of 3 stages. The written examinations are conducted online, followed by an interview round. The structure of exams is as follows:

SBI PO Preliminary Examination

This is an online examination where the candidates must solve the question paper in one 1 hour for 100 marks. The test consists of 3 sections and candidates must clear the cut-off for each section. The cut-off or minimum passing marks for each section is decided by the Bank each year depending on the difficulty of the test. The section-wise division of the marks is given below:

SBI PO Mains Examination

Main Examination will be conducted online and will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer. The duration of objective test is 3 hours and it consists of 4 Sections of total 200 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.

Descriptive Test: 

The duration of Descriptive Test is 30 minutes. It will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) with two questions for total 50 marks.


SBI PO Admit Card 2020

  • Applicants need to download their admit card from the official website of SBI or they can also download the admit card online.
  • SBI PO 2020 would issue 3 admit cards, first for Preliminary exam, second for Main exam and third for Interview.
  • Applicants would not be allowed to enter the examination hall without the valid admit card.


SBI PO Result 2020

  • SBI PO 2020 Result would be announced by SBI on its official website.
  • SBI PO 2020 would declare 3 results; first for Preliminary exam, second for the main exam and third for final after Group Discussion and Interview.
  • Final selected applicants would be appointed for PO post
